How To Make Mass Email Marketing Work For You

Mass email marketing is one of the most efficient and cost effective ways of getting your message across to your target consumer. Mass email marketing is extremely cheap when compared to other means of advertising and has proved over time to be one of the most effective means of advertising too. While a large number of businesses and entrepreneurs will agree to the claims made here, there are an equally large number of businesses that really do not get substantive results from mass email marketing in spite of spending considerable time and effort over it. There are many reasons due to which mass email advertising fails to work and one of the most important ones is the formatting and the layout of your mass email ad. A major percentage of your target audience may fail to get your message or read it properly because it has not been well formatted or properly designed. Therefore it is extremely important to send your mass email marketing messages in a user friendly format. Some tips for making your mass email marketing messages both reader friendly and business friendly are:

Deliver your messages to your reader the way he or she wants it. Always give your subscribers the option of receiving mails from you in different formats e.g. text and html and deliver their mails just the way they like it and not how you want them to see it.

Even for readers who have subscribed to receive html mails, make sure that you do not load the page with too much information, graphics, pictures and animation. You risk losing your reader every second that your page takes to load and open properly. So keep your mails eye-catching and interesting, but more importantly, keep them short in KBs and MBs.

If you are sending text messages to some subscribers, then do not just send them a watered down or automatically converted version of your html mail. Take special care to format and design your text mail so that it also leaves an impact and is as good looking as possible. Apart from this, give your readers complete information and facilities on your text page instead of making them shift to a web version for performing different tasks. Ensure that all the links and info present on the web version are also present in the text one.

Always mention the name of your company in the "from" line in order to avoid being deleted without being read. Giving a descriptive but catchy subject line is also a must. Try to personalize your mass email marketing mails through special software so that you address your reader by name in your mails.

Keep your mass email marketing letters loaded with relevant hyperlinks and action buttons. It is a good idea to keep more than one action button that leads your reader to buy or to move on to your web page to check out your offer in detail. However, make sure that you specify what each action button does instead of saying "click here" all the time. One more thing that you need to show clearly is where to unsubscribe. Do not hide your unsubscribe links or make it tough to unsubscribe from your mailing list.
